What are psychedelics
Psychedelics refer to a class of psychoactive substances that induce profound alterations in perception, mood, and cognition, unlocking introspective depths. They interact with serotonin receptors in the brain, influencing neural pathways responsible for mood regulation and perception.
Research has shown potential therapeutic benefits of psychedelics in treating depression, PTSD, anxiety, and other mental health conditions. Studies suggest they could assist in facilitating psychological breakthroughs, promoting emotional healing, and fostering personal growth.
What is Psychedelic Therapy
Psychedelic therapy is the combination of traditional therapy with the controlled use of a psychedelic substance in a supervised therapeutic setting.
Psychedelic therapy typically involves three main phases:
Preparation: This phase involves establish and develop a trusting relationship with the therapists and preparing for the exploration sessions.
Journey/Exploration: The second phase involves the actual psychedelic session.
- Integration: This phase you work to incorporate the insights and emotional healing from the journey into your daily lives.
The Process
We are committed to delivering a comprehensive approach to your care, ensuring you receive the highest quality treatment and achieve the best possible outcomes. Our structured and guided process is tailored to address your unique needs, promoting psychological healing and personal growth.
Here is what you can expect from your psychedelic therapy:
Step 1: Connect
Talk with our team to walk through your medical history and treatment goals. We will work with you to determine whether this treatment is the right fit for you. Your safety and well-being are our primary concern
Step 2: Prepare
The preparation phase of psychedelic-assisted therapy is focused on building a therapeutic relationship between the individual and the therapist, and preparing the individual for the psychedelic experience itself.
This phase may involve a series of meetings with the therapist to discuss the person’s history, goals, and concerns, as well as education about the specific psychedelic substance being used, its effects, and the risks and benefits of using it in a therapeutic context.
During the preparation phase, the therapist will work with the person to establish a sense of trust and safety, and to create a supportive environment for the psychedelic session. This may involve discussing the person’s expectations for the session and setting intentions.
The preparation phase may also involve helping the person to develop skills and strategies to manage any difficult emotions or experiences that may arise during the psychedelic session. This may involve approaches such as mindfulness meditation, breathing exercises, or visualisation exercises.
Step 3: Explore
The second phase of psychedelic-assisted therapy involves the actual psychedelic experience itself. During this phase, the person will take a moderate to high dose of the psychedelic substance under the guidance and supervision of the therapist. The therapist will be present throughout the session to offer support and guidance as needed, and may use various approaches to help the person navigate difficult or intense experiences that may arise during the session.
The psychedelic experience itself can last several hours and can be quite intense and profound, with many individuals reporting a heightened sense of introspection, empathy, and connectedness. The psychedelic substance can help to reduce anxiety, fear, and defensiveness, allowing individuals to feel more open and receptive to exploring difficult emotions, thoughts and experiences.
The experience is often described as a profound and transformative experience, with a deep sense of personal insight and growth. However, it can also be challenging and intense, and it is important for the therapist to be present and supportive throughout the session to help the person navigate any difficult emotions or experiences that may arise.
Step 4: Integrate
The last phase of psychedelic-assisted therapy is the integration phase. In this stage, we help you understand and apply what you have learned from your psychedelic experience in your daily life.
We will have a follow up meeting the following day to discuss your experience, work through any challenging emotions or insights, and create a plan for your next steps. After that, we have a weekly meeting to check up on your process and make adjustments to the integration plan, if needed. On the 4th week it is time for the next exploration session.
During integration, we will help you maintain the positive changes you’ve gained from the psychedelic session.
Integration is a really crucial part of your journey, as it allows you to build on the insights and positive changes from your psychedelic experience. It helps you incorporate these experiences into your daily life.

HOW DOES IT WORK
Psilocybin has been used for thousands of years and has proven to be particularly well-suited for psychedelic psychotherapy. Currently, research is being conducted at numerous universities and hospitals worldwide, including at specialized research centers for psychedelic studies.
Psilocybin activates new connections across the brain and interrupts some of the brain activities associated with everyday consciousness. Some individuals experience the liberating sensation of stepping beyond the usual limitations of the self, gaining a different perspective on their lives. Most people undergoing psychotherapy with psilocybin also find inspiration to address life’s challenges from new angles.
When used in psychedelic psychotherapy, psilocybin is a medication with a high level of safety for the participant.
